Jeonbuk Hyundai swept aside Ryan City (Singapore) at home to get back on track at the top of the group.

Jeonbuk earned a 3-0 victory over Ryan City at home in their 2023-2024 Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Champions League (ACL) Group F match at Jeonju World Cup Stadium at 7 p.m. on Friday.

The hosts were led up front by Park Jae-yong, with Moon Sun-min and Lee Dong-joon supporting the attack from the left and right flanks. Lee Soo-bin, Amano Jun, and Park Jin-seop guarded the midfield, while Kim Jin-soo, Hong Jung-ho, Jung Tae-wook, and Ahn Hyun-beom formed the back four. Kim Jung-hoon wore the goalkeeping gloves.

The away team, Lion City, lined up in a 3-4-3 formation. Diego Lopez, Zivkovic, and Lestienne led the attack from the front. Van Huizen and Suzli lined up on the left and right flanks, while Pires and Kumar partnered in the middle. Haroun, Herrera-Lopez, and Tan formed the back three, with Bin Rohizad in goal.

Jeonbuk attacked aggressively from the start of the first half. Lee Dong-joon and Moon Sun-min dug deep into the flanks to exploit gaps in the opposition defense, and they were rewarded with an early goal. In the fifth minute, Ahn Hyun-beom slipped a ball near the penalty box and Amano Jun finished with a powerful left-footed shot to shake the Lion City goal.

Jeonbuk, who opened the scoring, pushed forward and knocked on the door of Lion City’s goal. In the 19th minute, Lee Dong-joon broke through and was tackled by opposing defender Harun, resulting in a free kick from the right side of the arc, which Amano Jun sent over the top of the defense, but it sailed over the bar. Lion City used Diego Lopez to act as an offensive link as he dropped down the center to receive the ball, and they used their right wing-back to dig deep into Jeonbuk’s left flank.

Jeonbuk used this to their advantage in the 31st minute when Moon Sun-min made a quick transition to break down the Ryan City flank and slipped an exquisite pass to Park Jae-yong, who was penetrating, but his shot was blocked by the goalkeeper. In the 33rd minute, Jeonbuk got a lucky own goal. Lee Dong-joon sent in a sharp cross that led to Tan’s own goal.

At the start of the second half, Lion City added weight to their offense by subbing in Ace Anouar for Tan, who scored an own goal. However, Jeonbuk continued to take the initiative in the second half. In the 12th minute of the second half, Lee Dong-joon sent in a quick cross from the side, and the goalkeeper couldn’t handle it properly and Moon Sun-min slotted the ball home to make it a three-goal lead. 안전놀이터
