Lee Kang-in’s teammate Ousmane Dembele, 26, is facing transfer speculation just one month after joining Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).
“Three Premier League clubs are interested in signing Dembele as he struggles to adapt to life at PSG,” Spanish outlet Fichajes reported on Tuesday (April 30).
Dembele joined PSG from Barcelona last month for a transfer fee of €50 million ($71.4 billion). After proving his mettle with Barcelona and the French national team, Dembele was expected to be the centerpiece of PSG’s attack.
The expectations were justified. Dembele showed no signs of rust last season, scoring eight goals and providing nine assists in 35 games across all competitions.
The results were disappointing, with Dembele only managing one assist in six appearances across all competitions this season, despite being given ample opportunities.
Dembele was not immune to criticism. Some have argued that Gonzalo Higuain, Bradley Barca, and Kolo Moani should be starting in place of Dembele.
His future at PSG is also unclear. The club is forced to consider selling high-priced players like Dembele in order to reduce its wage bill. 스포츠토토
The unstable position has sparked transfer speculation, with reports suggesting that West Ham are the favorites to sign Dembele, while Arsenal and Tottenham are also monitoring the situation.
The Premier League’s interest in Dembele is serious. “Premier League clubs are willing to give Dembele a chance,” the outlet said. They will be looking to bolster their squad with the signing of Dembele.”
