Interest in Argentine prospect Valentin Barco is high. Brighton, who have a great eye for talent, are the favorites.
The Sun’s Alan Nixon reported on Sunday (April 17) that “Brighton want to keep Barco. They are willing to spend £10 million to beat Manchester City and Juventus to the signing. Argentine left-back prospect Barco is a regular for Boca Juniors. Brighton believe he is a player who can succeed at the club and Roberto De Zerbi wants him,” said the report.
Brighton are not a financially rich team. Compared to the top teams in the Premier League (PL), who spend astronomical amounts of money, the Seagulls use cheap transfers to build their squad. This, coupled with their incredible scouting ability, has created a virtuous cycle. They buy players on the cheap, develop them to their full potential, and then sell them for a profit.
Ben White, Louis Dunk, Yves Bissouma, Alexis Sanchez, and Moises Caicedo are some of the players that Brighton have developed. They’ve done a good job of ensuring that when key players go down, they’re able to find replacements quickly, leaving no holes in the squad. They’ve lost McAllister and Caicedo this summer, but they’re still going strong in the PL. 메이저사이트
There are still a number of players on the radar of other clubs. Aside from Kaoru Mitoma and Evan Ferguson, the likes of Simon Adingra and Carlos Valleva are also being eyed. Brighton have taken and nurtured them, so there is more interest and they are highly regarded.
