Benjamin Pavard (Bayern Munich) has made no secret of his desire to move to Manchester United, commenting directly on French teammate Raphael Varane on social media.
“Fabregas showed how much he wants to move to United,” European soccer news specialist Fabrizio Romano wrote on social media on Friday (April 15).
As evidence of the player’s desire to join United, Romano showed a social media post from Varane. Varane scored the winning goal in the opening game of the 2023/24 Premier League season against Wolverhampton Wanderers at Old Trafford in Manchester, England, on Sept. 15 to give the Red Devils a 1-0 victory.
With the score tied at 0-0, Baran opened the scoring in the 30th minute with a header from Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s cross following a Bruno Fernandez through ball.
Baran’s first goal of the 2023/24 season would prove to be the game-winner, as the Red Devils kicked off the new campaign with a victory on the opening day of the Premier League.
After the game, Baran shared his victory with fans, writing “Let’s go!!!!!” alongside a photo of himself celebrating his goal. The official United social media accounts also applauded Baran for his goal, commenting with a heart emoji. 토토사이트
Many fans also celebrated the goal by commenting on Varane’s social media accounts, including his former teammate, Fabregas, who used the flame emoji.
Together, Varane and Fabregas won the 2018 World Cup in Russia and the UEFA Nations League in 2020/21. While he may have simply been congratulating his friend on his goal, Favre has been linked to Man Utd in recent days, which has sparked the imagination of fans.
German outlet Kicker reported on Thursday that “Man United have made an offer to Munich for Fabar. Negotiations are ongoing, with Fabar also receiving an offer from the Red Devils.”
“United are likely to sign Fabar as they want to increase their full-back options,” said the Daily Mail, adding, “Although the first offer was rejected, the player’s transfer fee is not expected to be a problem as it can be agreed upon.”
The French defender, born in 1996, joined Munich in 2019 and has been a regular fixture in the backline every season since. He can play both center back and right back, and has been highly touted for his size and reliable passing ability.
However, his versatility held him back in Munich. At center-back, Fabregas struggled to get a regular spot behind Dayo Upamecano and Matthijs Düricht, and at right full-back, he lost out to Nusair Mazrouei due to his slowness.
